About the 2009 Robot
Our 2009 robot competed in three competitions, including the world championship in Atlanta:
Boston Regional
Our first regional went well, despite a few robot malfunctions (including a breakdown in the quarterfinals), and we beat many teams with much more experience. Our mascots (Lenny and Linda the Ligers) were a big success and helped us win the Rookie All-Star award!
Score: 5-2
Seed: 9th of 53
OPR: 16th of 53
CCWM: 18th of 53
(OPR and CCWM are matrix-based statistical measures of a team's contribution to their alliances)
Quarterfinalists (Alliance 7 Captain)

Hartford, CT Regional
We excelled in Hartford, and (as OPR and CCWM show) were the strongest member of our alliances. Our robot had few problems and our drivers worked well together. We asked not to be considered for Rookie All-Star in order to ensure that a differrent team had the opportunity to compete in Atlanta, but we won the Rookie Inspiration award. Our break-dancing team, the Liger Lunatics, kept the crowd entertained by performing on the low-friction playing field during a long maintenance delay.
Score: 5-3
Seed: 13th of 60
OPR: 3th of 60
CCWM: 4th of 60

Atlanta, GA World Championship
In Atlanta, we competed against hundreds of champion teams from around the globe. Although we didn't rank as highly as we did at the regionals (this was partly due to bad luck; two alliance partners were no-shows), our robot had very few technical difficulties and no major ones. Our team was firing on all cylinders and we had a blast.
